If you’re a bookworm short on time, the "TopTenReviews Bronze Award" winning audiobook service, Jiggerbug, is a user–friendly service that rents and sells audiobooks at budget–friendly prices. You can browse through many diverse categories to find the topics that interest you. The only downside to the service is they only offer 5,000 titles.

Features Set:  

Even if you aren’t looking for a specific audiobook, you can still find some excellent listening material. With Jiggerbug, you can browse the categories or look at other lists like Grammy Nominees, New York Times Best Sellers, Oprah’s Book Club and more. In addition, a convenient search function allows you to search by keyword.

Through Jiggerbug, you can both buy and rent audiobooks. This is one of the few services where you can rent an audiobook and receive it as a download. Not only can you download the title instantly, but also it costs less. The download is good for 14 days and then the license expires and you will no longer be able to listen to the audiobook. Jiggerbug also offers the traditional method of renting audio books—by CD or Cassette.

Jiggerbug has 51 categories of audiobooks on an array of topics. If this isn’t enough, each of these categories branches into subcategories that allow you to narrow your search and find an audiobook on a specific subject.

Value:  

Jiggerbug offers a two–week trial period for the rental plan so you can try it out before you decide to purchase a membership. Their prices are competitive; their rental memberships start at $14.95 to have one audiobook out at a time.

This service also offers plans for download rentals and plans that combine both audiobook downloads and CDs. For example, for $24.95, you can have two audiobooks at a time (CD or Cassette) and up to three download rentals per month.

Jiggerbug.com is clean, simple to navigate and easy on the eyes. It’s easy to search audiobooks by category or use the search box to find an audiobook you’ll enjoy.

Summary:  

Jiggerbug offers something different—downloadable audiobook rentals. This is a fairly new service; they’ve been online since 2004. We predict they will grow and we hope their inventory does too.
